Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Quality Management Office is hiring a Staff Engineer (Process Improvement Specialist) to lead Lean Six Sigma and Human Organizational Performance-based process improvement initiatives. The role facilitates cross-functional teams, maps current and future state processes in Microsoft Visio, applies DMAIC methods, manages improvement project metrics and change, develops standard operating procedures, and improves efficiency and customer satisfaction. It requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, at least three years of related experience, process-mapping and Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication and facilitation abilities. The position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with four days on-site and one work-from-home day, occasional domestic travel, and a salary of $101,000–$120,000 per year.
