Description
Freeport-McMoRan is hiring a Process Operator for its Safford mine in southeastern Arizona. The role operates and may perform minor maintenance on material-handling systems, conveyors, transfer chutes, flow systems, and flotation or grind mills; performs housekeeping; monitors equipment and enters data; and assists with maintenance. Candidates need at least two years of trade experience, material-handling equipment experience, knowledge of piping and district flows, safety and ISO knowledge, computer literacy, and the ability to work autonomously in a potentially stressful mine environment. The role may require rotating shifts and offers an estimated base pay of $27.00 to $36.00 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
