Description
Green Plains Inc. is hiring an Ethanol Plant Operator to learn and operate the ethanol production process, including cooking, distillation, evaporation, drying, thermo-oxidation, centrifuging, grain handling, and water treatment. The role operates the plant’s DCS, follows start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and batching procedures, monitors production parameters, collects and tests samples, maintains logs and facility cleanliness, communicates with maintenance and laboratory teams, and supports other production areas. A high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, utility-vehicle operation ability, and the capacity to work in confined spaces, heights, dusty and noisy environments, and around chemicals are required; prior industrial production experience is helpful but not necessary.
