Description
The Procurement Manager will report to the Livestock Director and manage strategic and daily livestock procurement for slaughter-ready lamb and beef, weaner lamb and beef, protocol sourcing, and informal markets. The role develops procurement strategies, manages supplier and farmer relationships, coordinates abattoir schedules, and aligns producers, field personnel, feed manufacturers, and animal medicine companies. It requires a farming or agricultural diploma or degree, plus 5–7 years of meat-industry operational experience, 5–10 years of agricultural managerial experience, and 5–7 years of procurement experience. The position is mainly office-bound in Cullinan, with Monday-to-Friday hours from 7:00 AM to 16:00 or 7:30 AM to 16:30, and includes a strong basic salary plus a performance bonus.
