Description
The Produce Category Manager develops and maintains produce specifications, evaluates and negotiates with North American potato and produce suppliers, manages freight and inventory costs, monitors market conditions and product quality, issues supplier RFPs, and supports budget and COGS analysis. The role requires strong supplier, negotiation, communication, business-math, and Microsoft Office skills; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five to seven years of category-management or equivalent experience are preferred, with no supervisory responsibilities and 20% to 40% travel.
