Description
Apple is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multi-functional design team and help create next-generation mobile devices. The role involves conceiving, designing, and bringing products into production, leading iPhone integration and architecture efforts, and collaborating with industrial design, hardware engineering, antenna, reliability, packaging, safety, and marketing teams. Responsibilities include plastic and metal part design, material selection, design for manufacturability and assembly, tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, technical graphical communication, and component and interconnect design. The role requires significant prior experience with Siemens NX and/or Pro-E, strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, and may involve international travel of 20% or more.
