Description
Ford Motor Company is hiring an Ultra Capacitor Module Core SW Engineer to lead end-to-end elicitation, definition, and management of system and software requirements for ultra-capacitor modules. The role bridges vehicle feature owners, functional safety teams, hardware designers, and Tier 1 suppliers, covering requirements traceability, cell balancing, state-of-charge and state-of-health, thermal management, power electronics, CAN/LIN and UDS interfaces, ISO 26262 safety requirements, supplier program management, validation, and agile software delivery. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science and at least five years of automotive industry experience are required; an M.S. and additional software and requirements experience are preferred. The position offers salary grades 6, 7, and 8 with ranges of $85,400–$143,200, $99,600–$156,600, and $115,000–$162,900, respectively, and visa sponsorship is available.
