Ford is hiring an HLM Handles Core Engineer to design, develop, validate, release, and implement handle mechanisms for vehicle closures such as hoods, frunks, doors, tailgates, liftgates, and decklids. The role leads suppliers, manages program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets, supports CAD and CAE studies, prepares engineering documentation, coordinates validation and durability testing, and supports assembly-plant implementation. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least five years of automotive mechanism engineering experience, plastics and molding knowledge, CAD and CAE familiarity, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. The position is onsite, offers a base salary of $74,300 to $166,200, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
