Description
The Product Development Technologist supports the development, optimization, and commercialization of dairy products through laboratory and pilot-plant work. Responsibilities include prototype development, experimental design, scale-up and production validation, analytical and sensory testing, data analysis, technical documentation, supplier coordination, and laboratory inventory management. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in food science, dairy science, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline, 0–2 years of food-industry experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a lab and pilot-plant environment. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, reports to the Manager, Product Development, and offers a base pay range of $65,000–$80,000 USD.
