Y Combinator is hiring a Product Engineer to take new products from zero to one, designing and shipping full-stack systems and developer tools end-to-end. The role focuses on AI-native software, agent orchestration, semantic search, embeddings, knowledge graphs, and LLM workflows, while owning developer and user experience, community engagement, and product decisions. Candidates should be full-stack, product-minded engineers with experience shipping systems software, strong system design and judgment, and the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders. The position offers $185,000–$485,000 in base compensation plus profit-sharing, medical, dental, vision, retirement, parental leave, and flexible PTO, with work in the San Francisco Bay Area or willingness to relocate, and visa sponsorship for certain employment visas.
