David AI is hiring a Backend Engineer to build scalable backend systems, APIs, data processing pipelines, and infrastructure that support users processing terabytes of audio data and researchers collecting new data. The role involves deploying and evaluating LLM and DSP solutions, collaborating with researchers and operations, and applying backend, data engineering, machine learning, and signal processing technologies. Candidates should have at least two years of backend engineering experience, strong systems and API design skills, and a record of delivering customer value; AI/ML or audio experience is not required but is advantageous.
