Description
OpenGov is hiring a Product Engineer to own a domain within its ERP financial system for state and local governments. The role is an individual-contributor product-ownership position that combines customer discovery, roadmap planning, user-experience design, software building, launch, adoption tracking, and implementation support. AI-native tooling handles much of the traditional product-management and UX-design work, while the Product Engineer makes product decisions, owns outcomes, and coordinates with engineering, professional services, and adjacent domains. The role requires demonstrated product ownership in a complex, compliance-bound B2B domain, strong written communication, willingness to build, and experience with customer discovery; government finance, fund accounting, GASB reporting, data migration, and AI development tooling are preferred.
