Meta is hiring a senior individual-contributor product manager to set the multi-year product strategy for its stream and batch data-processing portfolio, including XStream, Apache Flink, Spark, Presto, Hive, Iceberg, and Velox. The role focuses on defining a coherent customer experience, establishing processing guarantees and service-level objectives, driving adoption and safe migration from legacy systems, shaping open-source strategy, aligning cross-organizational engineering teams, and mentoring senior product managers. Candidates need at least 12 years of product management or equivalent experience, expertise with large-scale distributed data systems, experience owning or directly managing a major data-processing system, and a BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems.
