Description
Wabtec is hiring a permanent, full-time Field Service Engineer in Derby to provide on-site and customer-location support for trains and related railway products. The role involves responding to call-outs, diagnosing and repairing systems such as PIS, brakes, sanding, pantographs, and shoegear, replacing faulty parts, testing trains before return to service, and maintaining customer relationships. Candidates need ONC or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering, strong fault-finding and hands-on technical experience, IT and Excel skills, technical reporting ability, organisational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is required, and visa sponsorship is not offered.
