The Production Associate in the Machine Shop performs simple production operations on machines such as drill presses, milling machines, channeling machines, deburring machines, broaching machines, punch presses, riveting machines, and degreasing and washing machines. The role includes loading and clamping parts, starting machines, removing parts, operating machines concurrently, checking parts with go and no-go gauges, making minor tool and machine adjustments, and maintaining orderly machines.
