Optiver is hiring a senior/staff/principal-level Production Software Engineer for its Sydney team. The role focuses on infrastructure, systems, tooling, and workflows that support the deployment, operation, and monitoring of highly specialized trading systems. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of production solutions, supporting delivery across requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring, and improving change speed, robustness, and operational friction. The position requires extensive software engineering experience at scale, deep knowledge of distributed production systems, and a strong improvement mindset; Python, CI/CD, configuration management, modern web frameworks, and trading or high-performance low-latency experience are beneficial.
