Description
The Sheet Metal Operator operates, sets up, and maintains sheet metal fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, punch presses, rollers, and CNC machines to produce components according to blueprints and technical drawings. The role includes measuring, cutting, bending, forming, inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining a safe work area, handling materials, and meeting production goals. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety awareness; technical training, press-brake or laser-cutting experience, blueprint interpretation, and lean manufacturing familiarity are preferred. The position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m., for 40+ hours per week, with possible overtime, in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, machinery, and fumes.
