The employer is hiring an on-site Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver in Austin, Texas, for a 12-month full-time contract at $25.00 per hour. The role operates and monitors autonomous vehicles during real-world testing, collects performance and environmental data, performs vehicle inspections, submits reports, and coordinates with riders, engineers, and operations teams. Available schedules include Tuesday–Saturday and Friday–Monday shifts, with multiple AM and PM options; new hires may start on the 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shifts. Requirements include a U.S. driver’s license held for at least one year, at least five years of professional driving experience, a clean driving record, age 25 or older, knowledge of local traffic laws, strong communication and attention skills, and comfort with mobile apps and navigation tools.
