Description

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) is seeking a Program Administrator for its African Peacebuilding and Developmental Dynamics program (APDD). The successful candidate will support the overall administration of the program, including award selection, workshop logistics, documentation, marketing, and financial reporting. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and technological skills, with a focus on supporting African-led research and scholarship.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 1-2 years administrative, research, or related work experience in a nonprofit or academic environment.
Previous work experience with, or detailed knowledge of, Africa and peacebuilding.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
Excellent writing and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
Experience and/or familiarity with web and database development and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and respond flexibly to changing demands.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database management, and Internet applications.
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily activities to meet competing deadlines.
Photography and graphic design skills.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
