Description
The After School Education & Safety (ASES) Assistant works under a supervisor to support middle-school students in an after-school program, including planning and leading activities, supervising students in classrooms, gyms, and outdoor areas, assisting with homework, monitoring attendance and safety, supporting behavior management, and communicating with school staff. The role is scheduled for 2–3 hours per day at the listed Poway Unified School District sites, with 9.5 months of work per year at most sites and 12 months at Oak Valley Middle School and Twin Peaks Middle School. Candidates need a four-year degree and CBEST certification for Step 6 placement, or one year of school-based student experience or recent similar volunteer experience; the position requires a valid California teaching credential or official transcript.
