Description
The Extended Student Services (ESS) Assistant supports elementary-aged students in an ESS program by assisting with daily activities, planning and supervising indoor and outdoor activities, helping with homework, maintaining attendance and records, supporting student safety and behavior, and assisting with snacks and emergency procedures. The role requires one year of experience in a preschool or K-8 child care program or recent volunteer experience in a similar program, along with knowledge of child development, classroom procedures, safety practices, and communication skills. The work is performed in classroom, playground, and athletic field environments and involves extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting moderately heavy objects.
