Description
The Shelter Operations Assistant supports the Jerome Avenue Men’s Shelter by assisting clients with basic needs, managing bed and linen inventories, overseeing cleanouts and laundry, maintaining client property and supplies, supporting bed counts and intakes, and providing clerical and transportation assistance. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer and filing skills, and the ability to travel within New York City; relevant experience is preferred, and a driver’s license is required for the 8 a.m.–4 p.m. shift.
