Description

The Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support to faculty and staff in the Biomedical Informatics and AI division within the Department of Public Health Sciences and Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. The role supports the Cancer Integrated Data-Enabled Resource and other funded initiatives by coordinating communications, schedules, meetings, travel, documents, expenses, invoices, budgets, records, deliverables, timelines, and program logistics while maintaining compliance with institutional, grant, and confidentiality requirements.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma plus two years of relevant program experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field such as Data Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration.
Required Previous Experiences: Two years of relevant program experience if qualifying with a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications: 1–2 years of administrative or program support experience in information technology, public health, healthcare, or academic research.
Experience with health systems, academic environments, data science tools, or biomedical research processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills with patients, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Organization, time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
