Description

Areté Education is hiring a full-time Program Director for its COMPASS after-school and summer program at P.S. 161 Juan Ponce De Leon School in the Bronx. The role leads program implementation, staff supervision, student and family engagement, compliance, data management, and community partnerships, with a Monday–Friday schedule and evenings or weekends as needed. The position offers a salary of 75,000+ annually, health insurance, paid time off, professional development, and retirement plan options.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: An associate's degree in a related field, a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential, a School-Age Child Care Credential, or two years of college with at least 18 credits in a related field, plus qualifying experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Two years of direct experience working with children under age 13, including one year in a supervisory role.
Two years of qualifying experience.
Experience supervising staff and managing program operations.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
3–5 years of leadership experience in education, youth development, after-school, or community-based programming.
Experience managing DYCD-funded programs and/or SACC-licensed sites.
Knowledge of positive youth development and social-emotional learning practices.
Experience with student data systems and program evaluation.
