Description
GCI is hiring a Program Engineer to oversee and coordinate engineering projects from conception through completion, manage technical programs, and serve as a technical leader and consultant. The role focuses on voice-core architecture, SIP, SS7/SIGTRAN, MGCP, ISDN PRI, TDM, IMS, Metaswitch, softswitches, SBCs, and media gateways, and includes project planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, engineering reviews, and operational support. It is an intermediate-level position requiring a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, at least seven years of progressive professional engineering experience, and the ability to travel up to 25% to Alaska, Oregon, and Washington.
