Description
The City of Santa Ana is hiring part-time Recreation Specialists for its Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency. The role supports youth and adult sports, programs, health and wellness activities, special events, aquatics, senior services, the nature center, and the Santa Ana Zoo, with assignments varying by program. Duties include coordinating activities, opening and closing facilities, maintaining facilities and inventory, enforcing rules, promoting programs, conducting transportation, answering phones, assisting staff and volunteers, and supporting program evaluation. Applicants must be at least 18, have high-school-equivalent education, and may need a California Class C driver's license depending on the assignment; the role requires irregular hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and may require lifting up to 60 pounds.
