Description
The Program Manager will lead the Operational Snow and Ice Analysts and Observations team for the USNIC contract, overseeing deliverables, quality assurance, recruitment, personnel issues, and monthly expenses. The role analyzes remotely-sensed satellite imagery and meteorological and oceanographic data to produce operational snow and ice products and decision-support services, coordinates satellite observations, fills analyst vacancies, presents customer briefings, supports research and data verification, and maintains SOPs and COOP readiness. The position requires extensive meteorology, climatology, oceanography, satellite tasking, project management, remote-sensing, Python, ArcGIS, and Visual Basic experience, and is based in Suitland, Maryland on a hybrid schedule.
