Description

UNSW is hiring a full-time Program Manager – IT for a 24-month fixed term in Sydney, NSW. The role leads complex, large-scale IT infrastructure and transformation programs, including communications infrastructure, network and critical infrastructure design, desktop, print, and AV services. Responsibilities include program governance, stakeholder engagement, budget and resource management, vendor performance, benefits realisation, risk and issue control, and delivery of projects on time and within budget. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days in the Kensington, Sydney office, and requires extensive experience leading large-scale IT programs in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent capability through education, executive training, and hands-on IT program leadership
Required Previous Experiences: Extensive recent experience leading end-to-end large-scale IT project management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Senior transformation leadership experience with C-suite reporting and enterprise-wide solution delivery
Extensive experience with project management methodologies and techniques
Experience in business process transformation, operating model design, lifecycle management, and IT management capabilities
Experience establishing and leading cross-functional business, technology, and partner teams
Experience forecasting and managing budgets
Experience in strategic and operational planning, business planning, and budgeting
Experience engaging senior executives, governance committees, and diverse stakeholder communities
Experience managing complexity, dependencies, trade-offs, and risks across multiple program streams
Experience managing major vendors and systems integrators
Experience with program governance, benefits realisation, user-centred design, and organisational change management
Experience producing executive-level briefings, business cases, reports, and presentations
Advanced Prince2 or PMBOK certification is desirable
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Prince2 or PMBOK certification
