Description

Umbra is hiring a Program Manager for its Mission Solutions team to lead complex government programs for space and mission solutions. The role owns program execution end to end, including integrated plans, schedules, budgets, risk management, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, product, finance, contracts, supply chain, and operations. The position is on-site in Arlington, Virginia or Reston, Virginia, requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8+ years of program/project management experience, and offers a $165,000-$215,000 salary plus comprehensive benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related STEM or business field
Required Previous Experiences: 5-8+ years of program or project management experience, including 2+ years supporting government, aerospace, or defense programs
Experience leading complex technical programs and cross-functional engineering teams from planning through execution
Experience serving as the primary customer and stakeholder interface during program execution
Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of program or project management experience, including 4+ years managing complex government, aerospace, or defense programs
Experience with satellite, ground systems, remote sensing, or ISR programs
Knowledge of systems engineering principles, system architectures, and SAFe or PMI
Experience with business development, captures, or proposals
