Description

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) is seeking a Program Specialist for their YAWL Workforce Development Program. This full-time, mid-level position involves coordinating and facilitating employment readiness workshops, providing career counseling, and supporting youth aged 16-24 to prepare for college and careers. Responsibilities include developing curricula, offering 1:1 career guidance, collaborating with the workforce team, leading outreach initiatives, connecting participants with resources, ensuring program quality standards, acting as a liaison with external services, and completing necessary documentation.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Two years of experience working with youth, preferably within youth workforce development programs.
Experience in facilitating meetings, workshops, and providing 1:1 support to youth and young adults.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish/Chinese and English is preferred.
Ability to work with ethnically diverse groups of low-income youth as well as English language learners to provide social and emotional support.
Experience working with community-based service providers and private sector partners.
Ability to work as part of a team to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Enthusiasm for promoting academic achievement and college to career education.
