Description

Resources for Human Development is hiring a Program Specialist for its Missouri Shared Living program to support individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism. The role coordinates Individual Support Plans, maintains program documentation, schedules medical and behavioral services, advocates for participants, supports and trains direct-care staff, monitors compliance and safety, assists with benefits and program transitions, and responds to crises. Candidates must meet one of four education-and-experience combinations, have strong communication skills, maintain required in-service training, hold a current driver’s license and access to a vehicle, and comply with confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. The position pays $25.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: One of the following: a master’s degree or above with at least 1 year of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, for the master’s-degree pathway.
At least 2 years of experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, for the bachelor’s-degree pathway.
At least 4 years of experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, for the associate’s-degree pathway.
At least 6 years of experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, for the high-school-diploma pathway.
Preferred Qualifications: Special Education background
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
