Description

Lighthouse Mission Ministries is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Program Staff member to support an emergency shelter in Bellingham. The role maintains shelter documentation, handles guest communications and reception, monitors safety, provides emotional and spiritual support, fulfills guest requests, trains volunteers and interns, and represents the organization to social service agencies. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with compensation of $19.85 per hour and medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience
Required Previous Experiences: Experience in social services, working with individuals experiencing homelessness, and/or in a rescue mission environment is preferred; no prior experience is explicitly required.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of and preferably experience with homelessness, poverty, addiction, domestic violence, and recovery
Basic motivational interviewing skills
Passion for serving Jesus and making the Gospel known through mercy ministry
Active church or prayer life and agreement with the LMM Statement of Faith and Life & Personal Covenant
