Merchants Insurance Group is hiring a Program Underwriter for its Buffalo, New York corporate office. The role manages assigned Managing General Agents, monitors adherence to underwriting policy and service standards, supports commercial program development, and is responsible for agency commercial loss ratios and production goals. The position requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience, at least four years of commercial lines underwriting or product development experience, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to underwrite and manage accounts. It follows a hybrid schedule requiring two full days per week in the office, with an estimated salary of $85,000 to $120,000 plus equity and benefits.
