Description
The World Food Programme is hiring a Programme Assistant (Field), SC 5, based in Kandy, Sri Lanka, under a Service Contract. The role supports field implementation of a disaster preparedness and resilience program by coordinating with government counterparts, cooperating partners, NGOs, communities, and internal teams; monitoring distributions and project activities; collecting and analyzing program data; preparing field and mission reports; training partners; resolving operational issues; supporting emergency response procedures; and ensuring financial data sharing and reconciliation. The posting requires completion of secondary school, fluency in the UN duty-station language and the local language, and five years of progressively responsible experience including field coordination and program implementation.
