Description
The World Food Programme (WFP) in Lao PDR is hiring a Programme Associate – Emergency Preparedness and Response in Vientiane. The 12-month Service Contract (SC6) role supports emergency preparedness and response planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, reporting, cash-based and in-kind food assistance, disaster readiness, contingency planning, capacity strengthening, stakeholder coordination, and programme data management using systems including SCOPE and COMET. The position requires a relevant university degree or related training, six years of progressively responsible experience with UN, NGO, or civil society organizations in rural development, disaster-risk management, or related fields, fluency in English and Lao, and strong analytical, communication, facilitation, negotiation, teamwork, and MS Office skills.
