Description
The Programmer supports the engineering department by developing CNC programs and tooling for contour-path machining of metal parts on 3- to 5-axis machine tools. Responsibilities include analyzing drawings and part designs, selecting cutting tools and machine parameters, creating fixture and CNC setup documents, verifying programs with Vericut, improving cutting methods, and coordinating with production. The role requires a BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience, aerospace experience preferred, NC programming in CATIA V5 or other CAM software, Vericut verification, and a strong machining background.
