Description
The Equine Breeding and Program Manager leads Colonial Williamsburg’s Rare Breeds equine program, including breeding, mare transport, veterinary coordination, health monitoring, first aid, and equine welfare. The role also develops community and educational partnerships, manages volunteer and internship programs, trains staff, and supports carriage operations. It requires a high school diploma or GED, horse-care experience, strong equine-breeding knowledge focused on artificial insemination, a Virginia driver’s license, and the ability to work physically in varied conditions. Compensation is $26.00–$34.50 per hour.
