Description
The Project Accountant supports project teams and division management by maintaining accurate project financial records, reviewing contracts and change orders, validating order entry, preparing revenue and cash-flow forecasts, monitoring budget and cost performance, processing invoices, following up on collections, updating cost-to-complete estimates, preparing project analyses and metrics, and supporting project closeout. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting, 2–5 years of relevant project-environment experience, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with project planning, fiscal planning, and contract management. The position is typically performed in an office environment with occasional work in manufacturing, factory, field, and construction-site environments.
