Candi is hiring a mid-level, full-time Project Development Engineer for its South African team, based in Johannesburg with a combined home-working arrangement and frequent country-wide travel. The role supports sales and project development by developing EYAs and proposals with Helioscope, assessing client energy loads, designing solar PV and BESS systems, coordinating with EPCs and channel partners, reviewing detailed designs, and supporting project handovers. Candidates need a B.Eng or M.Eng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, less than five years of C&I solar experience in South Africa, and a valid South African residency or work permit; BESS sizing experience is an advantage.
