Description
The Structural Engineer performs structural design, analysis, calculations, drawings, reports, code research, coordination, construction administration, BIM work, and project supervision. The role may stamp and sign projects, supervise Assistant Engineers, and manage small to medium-sized projects under the direction of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer. It requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 3–6 years of professional design experience, a California PE license, and proficiency with structural design software, codes, and construction documentation. The salary range is $98,000–$120,000.
