Description
Schnabel is hiring a Project Engineer – Dam/Tailings Dam Engineer for its Knoxville office. The role involves analyzing and designing dam and water-infrastructure components, performing slope stability, seepage, filter compatibility, settlement, lateral earth pressure, liquefaction, and seismic analyses, preparing engineering reports and specifications, conducting field inspections and laboratory testing, assisting with dam safety risk assessments and construction coordination, and supporting project management. The position requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, 5+ years of design- or construction-oriented consulting engineering experience, PE licensure, and willingness to perform field work and travel. Compensation is $85,000–$110,000.
