Description
Koops is hiring a Project Engineer – Custom Automation to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities for custom automation projects. The role involves tuning, debugging, and launching factory automation systems; resolving design, integration, and testing issues; collaborating with mechanical, controls, build, and service teams; supporting customer interactions and on-site launches; and traveling approximately 10–15% across primarily North America. The position requires an experienced engineer with at least 10 years of manufacturing and project launch experience, a four-year engineering degree or equivalent applicable work experience, prior automated-systems experience, and strong technical, communication, problem-solving, and customer-focused skills.
