Downer is hiring a Project Engineer Mechanical in Wellington to support the delivery of a complex infrastructure project. The role coordinates and oversees the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as thermal drying equipment, conveyors, pumps, pipework, and process plant, while managing interfaces with civil, structural, and electrical disciplines. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3–7 years of experience in mechanical construction or infrastructure projects, and experience with mechanical plant installation, commissioning, testing, and technical drawings.
