Description

The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) at Bechtel will lead the development and execution of combined cycle power projects, focusing on team leadership and ensuring technical quality. The role involves interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering technical aspects, participating in project planning, reviewing proposals, and owning engineering elements of capital estimates. The PEM ensures engineering meets project requirements, remains within scope and budget, and provides technical guidance to various departments like Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H), and Project Controls.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 13-15 years of relevant experience
Recent experience on Bechtel combined cycle projects desired.
15+ years of relevant experience
19+ years of relevant work experience
Recent experience as PE or PEM on Bechtel combined cycle projects desired.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineering License or Chartered Engineer Degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant engineering, plus membership of an appropriate professional body.
Experience in leading multi-discipline high performing engineering teams.
Experience in collaboratively working within an integrated cross-functional team.
Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and requirements to ensure high quality design is developed and aligned with Contract requirements.
Ability to confidently present to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
Ability to manage project risk profile.
