Description
The Electrical Test Technician troubleshoots, tests, and inspects electrical apparatus and power distribution systems, including low- and medium-voltage switchgear through 35 kV, relay calibration, power metering, and simple power-system studies. The role performs project-based work across North America, typically traveling more than 90% of the time, with flexible schedules, project-based assignments lasting 1–12 months, and opportunities for downtime, training, regional work, or home-office work. The position requires a relevant engineering or technical-school background, electrical-system knowledge, NETA II or NICET equivalent, strong switchgear-testing experience, computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.
