Description

The Senior Software Engineer will own the software and infrastructure for a large-scale robot data collection operation, including teleoperation stacks, multi-camera recording, data pipelines, QA tooling, fleet reliability, calibration, firmware, and sensor integration. The role also directs a team of teleoperators, defines SOPs, trains operators, and reports throughput and data quality. It is a full-time W-2 contract at $105 per hour, 100% onsite in Santa Clara, California, with an ASAP start and possible extension.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master of Science in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Bachelor of Science with equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years building software for real robot systems, not simulation.
Experience designing, shipping, and maintaining a system relied upon by other people.
Experience supporting a data collection or teleoperation operation, including operator tools and throughput and quality metrics.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with humanoid or bimanual platforms and dexterous hands.
Experience with XR teleoperation, motion-capture gloves, and whole-body retargeting.
Experience with imitation-learning data tooling, HDF5/Zarr, dataset versioning, and S3 at terabyte to petabyte scale.
Experience building internal dashboards or tooling for production lines or high-throughput laboratories.
Open-source contributions to robotics data or teleoperation tooling.
