Description

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Project Manager for the Renovation & Construction Department. This role involves overseeing the development, design, construction, completion, and activation of various capital healthcare projects, including strategic and non-strategic initiatives. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, scope, and coordinating with consultants and contractors, supporting facility operations, and reporting to leadership.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: A minimum of 5 years in the construction or design industry providing significant project management experience with successfully executed projects.
Experience in managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources in a capital project setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing projects in a healthcare environment including Infection Control protocols and mitigation strategies is strongly preferred.
Previous work in healthcare operations is preferred.
Requires experience analyzing construction cost and construction schedules, knowledge of the importance of data for troubleshooting construction problems and the ability to provide analysis (specific data) to answer questions.
Prior experience managing projects and working effectively in multidisciplinary groups is highly desirable.
Prior experience managing outside architects, engineers, and professional service firms.
Prefer experience with different design and construction methods such as design-build, design-bid-build, lump sum unit pricing, time & material, cost plus, etc.
Experience with Smartsheet and eBuilder (Trimble Unity Construct)
