Description
The Senior Professional Architect serves as a technical consultant and design professional for facilities engineering management at a major or complex military installation. The role plans and designs substantial new construction, renovation, and improvement projects; develops architectural specifications and conceptual designs; consults on difficult design issues; coordinates with engineers, contractors, Corps of Engineers, and other design agencies; reviews engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates; and may manage projects through construction and as-built completion. The position requires U.S. citizenship, a secret security clearance, current certifications, and either an architecture degree or an equivalent education-and-experience combination, including at least one year of specialized professional-architect experience.
