Description

BB&E is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of military construction and facility maintenance projects for NAVFAC in Norfolk, VA. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the project, from initial planning and design to final construction and post-occupancy, ensuring adherence to Navy and DoD standards. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, administrative tasks such as contract negotiation and cost tracking, and active participation in design reviews.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Minimum of 10 years of professional project management experience supporting facilities design and construction, including direct federal project experience,
Previous experience supporting federal clients, specifically NAVFAC, is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of DoD and Navy guides, specifications, criteria, and policy; industry codes and standards; government funding structures and standard practices related to facilities design and construction.
Knowledge of construction contract administration, including RFIs, submittals, modifications, and progress payment validation.
Ability to produce results of analysis in writing, consolidate findings of others, and evaluate recommendations; ability to make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies.
Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint; knowledge and experience with project management and scheduling software, and other applicable DoD computer systems and software used by the Command.
