Description
The City of New York is hiring a City Research Scientist to manage the construction noise program for the Bureau of Environmental Compliance. The role evaluates noise mitigation plans before construction begins, tracks approved noise-monitoring requirements, leads staff and contractors, coordinates presentations, analyzes noise-code policies, and supports publication of compliance data. The position reports to the Director, Air & Noise Policies, Regulations & Enforcement and requires a master's degree in an appropriate physical, biological, environmental, or public health science field, with additional education and experience requirements for Assignment Level II and above.
